Please note: Secure English Language Tests (SELTs) are only available at selected °®¶¹ÊÓƵ SELT centres in the UK. Registered Exam Centres cannot register to provide these. If you are interested in preparing students for SELTs, please see: SELT course provider application

Please note: SELTs cannot be provided by Registered Exam Centres and can only be taken at °®¶¹ÊÓƵ SELT centres in the UK.

°®¶¹ÊÓƵ's Integrated Skills in English (ISE) qualifications and Graded Examinations in Spoken English (GESE) are recognised around the world as evidence of English language proficiency.

°®¶¹ÊÓƵ SELTs are Secure English Language Tests approved by UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) for Leave to Remain, British Citizenship, Work and Student visas.

SELTs cannot be provided by Registered Exam Centres and can only be taken by candidates at °®¶¹ÊÓƵ SELT centres in the UK.

All °®¶¹ÊÓƵ certificates are valid for life as evidence of the candidate’s achievement and performance in a °®¶¹ÊÓƵ exam. However, institutions and authorities may require candidates to have gained the qualification within a specific timeframe.

Where SELT certificates are used for UK visa or immigration purposes, °®¶¹ÊÓƵ has recommended to the UK Home Office that, for security reasons, only certificates less than two years old should be accepted.

The Language Access Fund

The Language Access Fund has been developed by °®¶¹ÊÓƵ to provide English language learning and examination grants for candidates in the UK and Ireland.

ESOL Skills for Life

Funding for ESOL Skills for Life examinations and the preparation for these is often available via the Department for Education or local authorities. We recommend that you contact your local authority to find out more about funding in your area.
