Integrating Independent Learning into Exam Preparation Classes

Wednesday 18 September 2024, 4.00pm (UK time)

Summary

Students preparing for internationally recognised exams, including °®¶¹ÊÓƵ's Integrated Skills in English (ISE), are often dependent on class time and teacher input for score improvement. This webinar will look at the limitations of this reliance and explore how independent learning can boost learning. During the session we will explore concerns students and teachers may have over independent learning, and ways in which these concerns could be addressed. We will also discuss ways in which teachers can implement the first steps of independent learning, by putting some of the responsibilities of improvement into the students’ hands while carefully monitoring their progress.
